The 94th annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research presented a variety of innovative studies and ideas in several areas of cancer research, including apoptosis. DiaPharma Group, Inc. was excited to exhibit the M30-Apoptosense® ELISA at AACR, as apoptosis has been one of the hottest areas of research over the last decade, and it is known to play a major role in many disease processes...
The M30-Apoptosense® was developed for the quantitative measurement of apoptosis in epithelial cell extracts, tissue culture supernatants, and serum and plasma samples. This novel assay is based on the ability of the M30 monoclonal antibody to recognize a neo-epitope on cytokeratin 18 that becomes exposed after cleavage by caspases during apoptosis. This kit provides a convenient way to detect early apoptosis in a 96 well format, and can be used to investigate tumor apoptosis, or to generate dose-response curves of pro-apoptotic agents.
DiaPharma discussed the M30-Apoptosense® with many AACR attendees and the response was overwhelming. Cancer researchers worldwide are experiencing the benefits of the M30-Apoptosense® ELISA, and finding that it is a useful tool in their laboratory for apoptosis detection.
