Fibrino Peptide A (FPA)

Fibrino Peptide A (FPA) Control Plasma

Control / RUO

Catalog #: DPGS015K

For research use only. Special order only.

Intended Use

Fibrino Peptide A (FPA) controls, at a defined FPA concentration, as measured with the DiaPharma FPA kit (catalog # DPGR016A), for the quality control of FPA antigenic assays. FPA, for FPA controls, is obtained from human fibrinogen, prepared from plasmas.

The target values and the acceptancy ranges, indicated on the insert, are valid for the DiaPharma FPA kit only. Results can vary, when these FPA controls are used with other kits according to the assay reactivity and its standardization. These FPA controls can nevertheless be used with different kits for quality control and testing run to run variability, but the acceptable values must be determinated by each laboratory.

Contents

  • 3 vials of 1 ml of FPA control I, lyophilized, at a high FPA concentration (CI)
  • 3 vials of 1 ml of FPA control II, lyophilized, at a low FPA concentration (CII)

The FPA concentrations and the acceptancy ranges for controls I and II, can present variations from lot to lot, but are indicated on the insert provided with each set of controls.

Excipients: Glycine, Sodium Chloride, stabilizers, Bovine Serum Albumine (BSA).

Preparation

  • FPA Control I (high): restore the vial with 1 ml distilled water; let for 15 min at room temperature; mix gently until complete dissolution of the content.
  • FPA Control II (low): restore the vial with 1 ml distilled water; let for 15 min at room temperature; mix gently until complete dissolution of the content.

Stability

  • 24 hours at room temperature (18-25°C)
  • 48 hours at 2-8°C
  • 2 months, frozen in their original vial, or in a plastic tube (before use, thaw in a water bath at 37°C, for at least 15 min).
  • Until expiration date printed on kit when stored at 2-8°C in their original package and before any use.
