Vial containing approximately 100,000 units of purified Urokinase lyophilized in presence of additives and preservatives used in any application where a source of Purified Urokinase is required and for the assay of human plasminogen. Activates plasminogen in order to generate Plasmin. Extracted from human urine. The preparation contains about 85% High Molecular Weight Urokinase and 15% Low Molecular Weight Urokinase. For in vitro research use only.
Purity: Purified Urokinase with a specific activity > 100,000 IU/mg of protein. One major band of 54,000 daltons corresponding to High Molecular Weight Urokinase and one minor one of 33,000 daltons corresponding to Low Molecular Weight Urokinase, on SDS-PAGE.
Excipients: Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Chloride, Poly-Ethylene-Glycol 6000 (PEG 6000), Bovine serum Albumine and Mannitol
Reconstitution: Each vial must be restored with 1 ml distilled water in order to yield a preparation containing about 100,000 IU/ml.
